With over 90 chapters and more than 6,500 members, Purdue has one of the largest fraternity, sorority and cooperative communities in the country, with fraternity, sorority, and cooperative men and women making up about 20 percent of the undergraduate students.

A: Male recruitment is an informal and casual process, while sorority recruitment is more structured. Men can choose which fraternities they would like to visit, without having to visit all chapters, while women have the opportunity to visit all the sororities during primary recruitment.

They carry a reputation for accepting those who were rejected by top-tier sororities, and some say they are a backup option for many. However, DZ women are also known for their strong sisterhood and mutual support.

Kappa Alpha Theta is known for a strong sisterhood, their involvement in the community, and being inclusive. Most of the girls are nice and outgoing but they are a very small sorority. Some of them go out and party but Theta is definitely not top tier.

The groups are top-tier to mid tier in most Southern schools and solid middle-tier in other regions of the US. Like all sororities, Kappa Delta has some struggling chapters. In the South, KD is considered, along with Phi Mu, Tri-Delta and Chi Omega to be the 'creme de la creme'.

ASA is a small name nationally and most popular up north, but definitely a TOP TIER sorority.
